Lecture Series for Senior Citizens

The goal of the Lecture Series is to promote opportunities for lifelong learning among the senior citizens of the South Bend community.  The program encourages positive interactions between South Bend seniors and the University of Notre Dame as well as between residents from diverse neighborhoods.

The series is a program of monthly luncheons attended by approximately 38 to 60 seniors ages 55 and up per session.  Lunch is provided by the Community Relations Department, and speakers consist of Notre Dame faculty, student groups, and South Bend community leaders. Previous lectures covered housing, finances, health, wills, and other topics that relate to senior citizens.

The sessions are held on the fourth Monday of each month (seating is limited) at the Robinson Community Learning Center.  To register or to receive the schedule of upcoming speakers, contact Amy Tremel in the Community Relations department (574-631-3249).
