Computer Club
The Community Relations department offers computer clubs for senior citizens. The clubs use a relaxed social atmosphere to assist senior citizens in learning how to use the computer for reasons ranging from word processing to using the internet for topical searches.
The clubs are divided by proficiency levels; with beginner level classes for those who have never touched a computer and advancing to a higher level classes for those who have had previous experience. Four classes (Computer Basics, E-mail, Word and Excel) are offered during the academic school year.
Each instructor led session consist of four students who meet one day a week for five weeks. The classes are offered free of charge with open lab times available for club members.
